Dr. med. Jutta Beier

Dr Beier was born in 1973, in Weilburg, Germany. She studied Medicine at Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz, and underwent clinical training at Mainz University Hospital from 2000 to 2003 (Departments of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy and Dermatology). She performed basic research studies at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, US, in 1998. In 2005, Dr. Beier received a board certification in Clinical Nutrition from the German Society of Nutritional Medicine (DGEM).
In 2004, she founded the insaf Respiratory Research Institute in Wiesbaden and serves as Managing Director. Dr. Beier has designed and conducted more than 110 clinical trials in asthma, COPD and allergy, acting as Principal or Coordinating Investigator.
Dr. Beier also holds a degree in Health Economics (2009), and is a certified Yoga Teacher (WAY Curriculum, 2015).
She has published or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles on pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of chronic airway diseases, co-authored a textbook on COPD exacerbations in 2014, and reviews scientific articles for biomedical journals such as Respiratory Medicine, International Journal of COPD, Pulmonary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and others. She is a requested speaker on general aspects, pharmacology and treatment of airway diseases and allergies, upper airway infections, nutritional and systemic aspects of airway disease, clinical trial methodology, breathing exercises and others. Dr. Beier is a member of the German Society of Pneumology (DGP).
